More Besson in English

The blog has been quiet lately. There's something about (now) two kids, holidays, work, and a dissertation that is slowing me down. I do, however, have another lead on some of Besson's work in English.

It seems that Cyprian Lucar borrowed some of Besson's designs for his "A treatise named lucarsolice" of 1590. And they're not the drawings that I would have thought interesting or important. There might be some other designs lurking in the books of other early mathematical practitioners.
