Hooke and the Theatrum Machinarum: Revisited

I've come back to the idea that the early engineering works had a profound influence on early science. Towards these ends I'm posting a copy of Hooke's original plates of the the air pump as they appeared in Boyle's 1661 edition of Nova experimenta physico-mechanica de vi aeris elastica.
