I've been on a bit of a hiatus lately due to various projects. Here are some interesting tidbits from one of my current projects. If you're interested in the epistemic community known as Human Information Behaviour (HIB), you may find these figures interesting.
The first shows the citing relationships among the principle authors of HIB:
The second shows the cocitation patterns of these authors. Note how tightly clustered the resulting network is:
I created the maps using a motley combination of ISI Web of Science, EndNote, Excel, Access, some custom shell scripts, UCINET, and Pajek.
